Brotherhood
For Healing
Chas Vergauwen – Founder
At his core, Chas Vergauwen is a father, life coach, philosopher, and adventurer. After years of navigating the peaks and valleys of entrepreneurship, personal crisis, and healing, he discovered his “original self” — and now stands ready to walk beside others on their own paths. From divorce, anxiety, ADHD, and chronic pain to purpose, presence, and power, his journey is both real and redemptive... and relentless.
Our Story
What started as a deeply personal quest for healing transformed into a mission: to create a brotherhood of men and youth who climb, breathe, and lead in the mountains and in life. With roots in Silverton, Colorado and wings stretching to Alaska and Argentina, Brotherhood for Healing aims to bring together men, sons, fathers, and athletes from all walks of life.
What We Do
We host retreats and mentorship programs that guide participants through the arc of transformation: Foundations → Summit → Mentorship. The Foundation series grounds men in emotional presence and community through virtual integration circles, a newsletter, and podcast. The Summit retreats challenge the body and mind at high altitude utilizing the power of plant medicine. The Mentorship immersion then invites the graduates to step into leadership — turning seekers into stewards.
Why It Matters
In a world that asks men to perform but not cry, compete but not connect, we say: the mountain knows both strength and stillness. We say: youth deserve more than turf fields — they deserve altitude, awe, and awareness. We say: being “wild” doesn’t mean reckless — it means raw, real, rooted.
“I am no longer apologizing for who I am… I have discovered my purpose, mission, and passion and now I’m walking my path.” - Chas Vergauwen
Where We’re Going
From the ridge lines of Silverton to the peaks of Argentina, from city athletes to foster youth, we’re building something lasting. A brotherhood. A mentorship pipeline. A movement of men and boys who ascend not only mountains but also selves — then come home stronger, humble, and committed to lead.
